| 2 ½ Hour – Iron Pin Trip – 6 Miles A Soaring Eagle Outfitters staff member will put you in at the Forsyth Township Canoe Launch site where you will begin your trip down the Escanaba River. In about 10-15 minutes, the Middle Branch and East Branch River’s meet. In another 40-50 minutes you will go under a swinging chair, this is almost the half-way point of your trip. In the even you need to end your trip prior to the Iron Pick pick-up site, you can call Soaring Eagle’s headquarters to make arrangements for a pick-up 20-30 minutes from the swing chair (This pick-up site is also known as the swinging bridge; please note, there is no longer a swinging bridge; however, Soaring Eagle’s staff will be there to meet you on the left side of the River). The Iron Pin pick-up location is approx. 50-60 minutes from the Swing Bridge location. You will exit the River on the left side. Please take-out on the right side of the concrete ramp. A member of Soaring Eagles Outfitter’s staff will meet you at the Iron Pin landing and bring you back to our headquarters. |
